The festival “Art is. Architecture” is now in the cultural capital of Russia
From August to September 30, the St. Petersburg NOVE bar participates in the festival “Art Is. Architecture”. The project is organized by the Milimon Team Restaurant Association.
As part of the project, chefs of restaurants in Russian cities are developing a special menu inspired by architectural monuments and objects of monumental art. Now residents and guests of St. Petersburg and 14 other cities of our large country can taste architecture.
“Today, the leadership of our country pays great attention to the preservation of cultural heritage. Every city has houses and monuments significant to its history, forming the cultural code of this place,” argued the choice of the theme of the Art Is 2025 festival, its ideological inspirer, the head of the Milimon Team association, Evgeny Reimer.
Each monument has its own style, architect and history. The chef reveals it through taste, associations and gives his philosophy and meaning. Thus, he conveys the idea, the very essence of an architectural monument through taste.
The manager of the NOVE bar, Bogdan Petrov, created the “Amber Room cocktail”. The source of the creative search was a legendary work of art created by German and Prussian craftsmen. This is a unique study, the walls of which were completely covered with amber panels with mirrors, pilasters and mosaic paintings of agate and jasper, considered the “eighth wonder of the world.” The shining golden-honey tones, intricate carvings and the incredible value of the amber room inspired the creation of the cocktail of the same name, and also formed the basis for the design concept of the Nove bar.
The author’s cocktail “Amber Room” is a tribute to the luxury and mystery of the original. In its composition, the noble cognac “Naut” symbolizes the endurance and historical value of the lost masterpiece. Golden Galliano liqueur with notes of vanilla and herbs conveys the radiance and warmth of the sunstone. Apricot brandy adds a depth of honey tones and a fruity juiciness reminiscent of the richness of the finish. Elderberry syrup adds a dark accent, embodying the mystery of the room’s disappearance. A few drops of Angostura bitter are the bitterness of loss and the relentless search for the missing treasure. The cocktail, like the room itself, leaves an impression of incredible value, warmth and an unsolved story, enclosed in a radiant amber glow.
The project “There is art. Architecture” popularizes history, allows you to discover new, unexplored corners and details of each object. We can say that this project is a kind of bridge between architecture and gastronomy, which is created thanks to such festivals.
